Mithali was selected for the Indian Women Cricket team at the age of 17. She played his debut One Day International match Against Ireland Women team on 26 June 1999 at Milton Keynes. On his ODI debut he played an outstanding inning of 114*. She made her Test International debut against England Women team on 14 January 2002 at Lucknow. She broke the record of World’s Highest Individual Test Score 209 of Karen Rolton with her new 214 runs Against England in 2002 at County Ground, Taunton.
